Do you believe in ghosts?

First of all, I would say that I'm not really a fan of the superstitious and ghost busters or anything, but it's like they've always say, curiosity killed the cat.

As stated in the books, ghost mostly won't harm people unless they are disturbed or is seeking for vengeance to those who murdered them. Not being superstitious or anything, but it's better to believe in spirits than not believing in them. There are some things that can't be scientifically proven. Myths continue as myths.

I like to watch Ghost Whisperer although the ghost always scares the heck out of me when I watch it alone, but there's always a happy ending.. ;) There's also the series of the True Singapore Ghost Stories, which are, like the titile, True. True or not, most are the stories are absorbing and tantalizing. Although most of the stories send shivers down my spine, most of it teaches us valuable lessons. But, I wouldn't like to encounter those spirits myself, no thanks!

On second thought, there is this 1 ghost that I would like to meet. Elvis Presley's! And I think I know where to find him. But it'll cost me fortune to be able to travel to that part of the world, Las Vegas, USA! Plus, according to research, he is mainly spotted at the hotel suites. I can't even afford a plane ticket there! Moreover a hotel suite, at the Hiltons?! Needless to say...

For you all to read it, I'll just type out the summary of it, not the whole story.

ELVIS LIVES ON IN VEGAS
Melody Teo, 28, kindergarten teacher

My husband Kim Seng is a technician with the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Last year, he was sent to the US to upgrade his skills at the major air force base there. It was a one-year attachment. The months dragged on until he was finally due to return to Singapore. I was so happy.

Kim Seng had a surprise for me. "Honey," he said over the telephone, "we're going to have a second honeymoon in Las Vegas."

I was over the moon. It would be a romantic reunion. We would spend four nights in Vegas, followed by a short stay in San Francisco before returning home from Los Angeles.

I joined Kim Seng in Vegas where he was waiting for me at the airport. The clink-clink sound of the jackpot machines were evident as they were scattered around the airport. People who were about to leave Vegas were still caught up in the gambling fever as they deposited coins into the machines, clinging on to the hope of a little windfall before they left.

Kim Seng had spared no expenses to make this a memorable week for me. He had booked a suite at the luxurious Las Vegas Hilton. It is a magnificient hotel with world-class amenities.

World-class stars perform at this hotel, which is situated along Paradise Road. It was not an apt name because I felt I was in paradise. One has to visit Vegas to appreciate its allure. There are so many world-class hotels, casinos, restaurants and attractions for tourists.

At night, it's like a magical kingdom. When the sun sets, Las Vegas is so brightly lit as the casinos try to lure visitors in their own special themes. It has been estimated that it costs US$265, 000 to light up the streets of Vegas for just one hour!

On our last night, we were on our way back to the hotel room after another session at the casino. Standing in front of us was someone who looked like Elvis Presley, in his heyday, with his trademark sideburns and all.

For the younger readers, Elvis was nicknamed "The King" and was a lengendary singer, entertainer and actor. He died in 1977 at the age of 42.

My parents had been huge fansof his. I saw some of his movies and I thought he was incredibly handsome when he was young, before he started boozing and getting high on drugs.

My husband and I assumed that this guy was one of the thousand of Elvis impersonators around the world. I waved to him and he gave us a smile. He looked like he was in his early 20s, just like Elvis in his prime. This guy was gorgeous. If I weren't a happily married woman, I wouldn't have minded going out on a date with him.

Anyway, "Elvis" suddenly started singing. He delivered a lovely rendition of the classical hit "Love Me Tender". It's one of the greatest love songs of all time. Not only did the guy look like Elvis, he sang like Elvis.

We were touched. My husband took out a $20 bill as a tip, thinking that he was one of the hotel's staff, paid to serenade the guests. But this dead-ringer for Elvis declined the tip. He said in a distinctive Southern drawl, "You all have a lovely evening. This song's on me."

I whipped out my handphone and asked my husband to take a picture of me with Elvis. I wanted to show it to my parents when I got home.

My husband did as he was told but Kim Seng looked pale after taking the picture. I thought he was jealous because "Elvis" had his arm around my shoulder. I thanked Elvis and said goodbye. He walked away towards the lobby and dissapeared among the crowd.

My husband still looked stunned. I asked him what was wrong.

He showed me the picture on the screen. I looked at it and I felt goose bumps rising on my arms. There was no sign of "Elvis" in the picture! I was all alone, smiling like I was the happiest person on earth!

A member of the security personnel saw us standing there and came over to ask if we were all right. We told him what had happened.

He laughed. "Oh, you guys aren't the first and won't be the last. The King lives on at the Hilton."

Apparently, Elvis was a frequent performer there back in the 60s and 70s when the hotel-casino was known as The-International. It later made way for the current day Las Vegas which stands on the same site. But Elvis never left. According to the beefy-looking security specialist, Elvis made it a point to serenade unsuspecting couples at the Hilton.

Kim Seng and I made our way back to the hotel room. That song had been a karaoke favourite of his. But after the experience, he's since changed his. "I'm never going to sing 'Love Me Tender' again," he said.

We laughed it away. It had not been a scary experience. We felt privileged that The King had chosen us as his audience for his encore.

Wow! I wish I had that privilege of listening to The King himself singing to me... =) Although not a really big fan of his, I still enjoy most of his songs, like Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. =P So to prove that Melody wasn't dreaming, here are the articles of other visitors' encounter with Elvis in Las Vegas, Hilton.

Las Vegas Hilton

The ghost of Elvis is said to haunt the entire top floor of the hotel (now broken up in to smaller suites with one occupied by Barry Manilow at the time of our visit) He has also been seen in the basement near the theater and in a freight elevator that he used to ride in to avoid the crowds of fans hat would follow him.

Ghost Stories:

Elvis has not left the building. Yes, The King of Rock n' Roll himself is said to haunted the Las Vegas Hilton. He is said to haunted numerous locations in the building. His ghost has been seen in the penthouse suite. Initially all one suite it is now divided into smaller suites. (One of them is occupied by Barry Manilow at the time of this writing.) Elvis' ghost has been spotted in a freight elevator that he often took refuge in from his adoring fans. He has also been spotted in the basement area underneath the theater where he would hang out with the musicians, and backstage where he has been seen by stagehandds. It has even been reported that Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton has seen the ghost of Elvis at the Las Vegas Hilton. (these stories all assembled from the Haunted Vegas Tour.)

New Blogskin!

Lol... Like my new blogskin? Cute right??

Yeap! I've changed my style of blogskins. I don't usually use these blogskins, but I do now! =P

Like Ling Wee's Evil Pillow skin, mine's the grumpy toast!

Nothing much to say... Have had a typical week after the hols... ~_~

Oh yea! I forgot to state here... I was crazy enough to go swimming with my little brother when we were in Port Dickson at 1pm!! Gosh! We love the water! So we swam till 5 or 6pm... Lol! Mind you, I do swim! Like a fish, too! But not as quick as a fish.. At least I swim!! Haha! Going on, I wanted to be a little more tanned than I am now, so I sunbathed, at 3pm! Serves my craziness right! I got sunburnt! T.T And not even 1 person said that I turned dark...

We stayed at the Avilion Admiral Cove rather than the other Avilion which has a nicer and cleaner beach... The Avilion that I stayed in is kinda like a habour for ships to "park" and my hotel room has a flat screen TV (woah!) and a gorgeous view of the harbour and the sea. My brother and sister said they saw a turtle when they were walking on the deck (where they are not supposed to)! Lucky them! I only saw a turtle once and it was during our trip back from the "snorkelling site" in Redang and I only saw it's head... T.T My sister saw it up close when she went snorkelling, too, in Redang!! I want that chance too!

But, the beach was like a garbage site where rubbish is almost everywhere! Gosh! Why don't people have a little sense in themselves?! I don't really dare to swim in the muddy, murky sea water since I don't have a clue what's under me... But, in Redang, I'll swim like there's no tomorrow!!! Clear water meeting my underwater friends... Hehe!

Unlike the Avilion I stayed in, the other one has Water Chalets on top of the sea and has a petting zoo, 2 beaches, spice gardens... But although this wasn't those fancy holiday trips, I must say that I enjoyed it quite alot. Just having to take a look at the sea, is Discovering Harmony (The motto for the Avilion Admiral Cove). Relaxing~

Sis said she wants help with making Tiramisu for her friend as a birthday present, so I guess I'll be leaving you with this.

Btw, don't forget! Earth Hour's this Saturday!!! Vote for Earth Hour, vote for Earth... =)

Signing off!!

Earth Hour, Harry Potter and the HBP, New Moon & a whole lotta stuff

So first, this is gonna be a long post! Brace yourselves!

Earth Hour! I know that some of you may not know what the heck it's all about. So, as someone who is environmentally conscious, I'm here to explain it all to you guys.

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

Earth Hour will next take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm, local time!
So for all of you out there, off all your electrical appliances for 1 hour! Just that 1 hour will make a whole lotta difference to the world! I did it with my family last year. Even though they were like, 'Aww... Can we not do it?' I made them do it... With candles and all.. So, I'm gonna make them do it again this year!! Hehe! And for the first time ever, 8tv will be supporting this campaign and there won't be any movies and it's totally blank on the tv screen for 8tv if you wanna watch the TV. So, just use some candles and create some romantic atmosphere! =)
Here are some pictures from the previous years:

The Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand, switched off its usual floodlighting during the Earth Hour, and re-lit afterwards.
Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House were darkened during Earth Hour 2007.
A web screenshot of Google Canada's 'darkened' homepage on March 29 2008.
Colosseum darkened for Earth Hour 2008
Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands public open space in the background, before(insert) and during Earth Hour 2008
Overview of Sydney in Earth Hour 2008
Many buildings in Sydney also turned off their lights in 2007.

People around the world's doing it! Why not you?

Next! The sequel of Twilight -- New Moon and the Logo!

Awesome, huh? Can't wait for it!!!
Then! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! Love is floating around in the air of Hoggy-Wartty Hogwarts and the trailer blew me away! Can't wait for it!
Link to the trailer [especially for ms sotong kurita and dolly] : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4keYY78SEk&feature=channel_page
Last! I've finally bought tickets for Leehom's Music-man Concert! Well, at least I bought the RM 198 one's rather than the RM 268 one's... =_= I gotta act quick before the good seats are taken!! Can't wait till the 2nd of May! =)

Before I go and I'm sure that all of you can't wait to get off this week 'cuz next week's the semester break!!! Yay! However, I'm gonna be reallly busy!
Busy with the Genting trip with the choir girls, busy doing Pendidikan Moral's project, busy planning time to go watch Jonas Brothers' 3D Movie Experience!! Hehe... First of all, I would like to voice out that I'm not really a HUGE fan of the Jonas Brothers, but I heard that this is a really awesome 3D movie that can't be missed! Plus, I kinda like their personality. So... I'll be going. Haha!
Then, there's gonna be the Hannah Montana The Movie. And once again, not a HUGE fan but since i've watched the series and find that it was, ok and hilarious, I can't wait for the movie to come out. Plus, I loved the song, The Climb by Miley Cyrus.
Until then, signing off!
ps: Happy birthday to my already-11-years-of-friendship-buddy, a.k.a. Head of Rumah C and 阿呆 as my mum likes to call him.. Hehe! Happy 17th birthday, buddy! =)

Lost Friends

Just came back from DMC's drama... I have to say that I was impressed!

I was on the car, back from the show with my neighbour/childhood pal at the backseat of the car and I realized something...

We weren't talking like we used to.

I've known him since Standard 1 and he lived just behind me house. When we were in the afternoon session in primary school, his mum will be the one who will bring us back from school. We used to talk like there's no tomorrow in the car. About friends, life, school, teachers, family... His brother was also part of the chat. We laughed at the jokes he made all the way from school to home. Same goes to the afternoon session of secondary school.

We used to cycle our bikes around the neighbourhood. He used to show me secret pathways to go to "secret hidden spots". We used to promise each other to wake up at 7 in the morning to play badminton in the court in front of his house. We used to talk behind our house, under the blazing hot sun in the afternoon, under an umbrella, until my mum comes home. We used to tease each other about the rumour boyfriend and girlfriends we used to have. We used to call out each others names from the back of our house to borrow movies or books or just to talk or show him my new pet or puppy. We used to play with lanterns on the night of Mid Autumn Festival. We used to do school projects in my place. I used to go over to his place and he was so eager to show me his new bed which is a shape of a racing car. I used to go over to his place for a Christmas party.

There's another friend of mine who I've missed terribly although I still see him in school and I just saw him perform just now. Watching him perform made me think of the memories I have had with him.

He used to sit next to me when I was Standard 5 and 6.

We share the same hobby. We like to sing and we both loooooved Harry Potter!

We used to have a book filled with lyrics and would share it with each other to copy. We used to cheat at the spellings our Chinese teacher gave us everyday where we have to exchange it with the one sitting next to us to mark. He will give me a tick even though I was wrong and the same goes to me, so that we don't have to go up front to be caned by the teacher. We used to split our exercises or homework so that we don't have to do that much. I can copy his part of the homework and he can copy mine. We used to write quizzes from Harry Potter and exchange it and answer the questions that we gave. We used to talk about the teachers in our school, and compare it with the teachers from Hogwarts. We used to go soooo crazy about Harry Potter. We used to fight with each other for petty, petty problems. But we always get over it and laughed about it. I used to be the one who will write down his homework when he was absent. I was the one who replaced him in the singing and story-telling competition, and yet, he laughed at my singing.

At first, he wasn't accepted to Kwang Hua. So I thought that the last time I will be seeing him was on graduation day. I was looking at his back and holding back tears as he walked out of the school gates. I was surprised to see him at Kwang Hua. But we didn't talk that much now. Or in other words, we didn't even talked at all now.

He went his way and I went mine. He went to a different class, mixed with different friends and joined the school drama club. Since then, we were like strangers when we met.

I hate this kind of feeling. When I meet them at school, I should have smiled at them. But something held me back. It's not that I liked them as someone else instead of a friend, but I hate to be a stranger to who I've been knowing for so long.

Other then them, there are many more friends that went to the same secondary school with me and lucky for me, I have been around with those who are inseparable with me since primary school. But unlucky for me, I slowly lost contact with some of them who have been with me since then.

They were part of great memories together in my childhood and I won't want to forget them for as long as I live. Even having them in my life is something special, what more is there to say when we were the best of friends? Doesn't that make them extra special?

Sometimes, I really wonder, 'Where did our friendship sail? Did I missed their ship when it was right in front of me? Where did our conversations go? Will it come back to me? I sure hope it will.'

- Dedicated to all my friends who I have met in my life so far. Thank you for treating me as your friend. Thank you for sharing your joy with me. Thank you, for being my friend!

Quote of the Day [1]

Every second passed,
is History....

Cherish everything;
Love everything, everyone;
Listen to everything;
Look at everything around you;
Live life how you wanted it!

The sky is sending a message,
Listen closely, to the wind...
Can you hear it speak?

Nick Jonas and his Amazing Voice!

Really, I'm not offending anyone or anything, but I truly think that Nick has a better voice before than he have now...

Here are some songs from his own debut album, Nicholas Jonas, which I truly love and find it meaningful... Oh, and these songs are written by his dad, Kevin Jonas.

Wrong Again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9ZbUX9AnHU&feature=related

Wrong again
Father I hate to tell you this
You taught me how to hit the mark
and once again I missed
Touch the fire
You always said that I'd get burned
Why is it so hard to remember
All the lessons I have learned?

How can you look at me that way
When I have failed so many times
Showing me love you tell the world
this child is mine
How can you walk that extra mile
I see forgivness in your smile
So sure you'd reject me
Wrong again.

Once again
Lord I have wandered from your path
thought I knew a better way
falling short of what you've asked
standing here
I don't deserve a second chance
and I can't conceal the shame I feel
it's more than I can stand

How can you look at me that way
When I have failed so many times
Showing me love you tell the world
this child is mine
How can you walk that extra mile
I see forgivness in your smile
So sure you'd desert me
Wrong again.

When I look into your face
and see the power of your grace
I find it so hard to believe
forgivness that you're showing me
I see the answer in your eyes
Love and mercy realised
Finally the truth has set me free

How can you look at me that way
When I have failed so many times
Showing me love you tell the world
this child is mine
How can you walk that extra mile
I see forgivness in your smile

I thought you would scold me
instead you just hold me
Thought you would judge me
instead you just love me
so sure you'd reject me
wrong again

I Will Be The Light http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dGCD_pzyZY&feature=related [I've been thinking that this song will be suitable for a graduation ceremony..]

I can see it in your eyes
Tell me what's on your mind
Don't keep it all inside
I am here for you(I am here for you)
Did somebody bring you down
Turn your smile into a frown
I'll help you work it out
When the answers hard to find
I will give you peace of mind

When you need a friend to call
I'll be right there beside you
To shelter you and guide you
On this you can rely(this you can rely)
When the tear drops start to fall
I will be there to dry them
Before you can cry them
And on the darkest night
I will be the light
I will be the light
Do-do-do-do-do-do

You can share your secrets here
There's no need to be afraid
My love will never change
It's unconditional (its unconditional)
Look at the door to your heart
Knocked down and torn apart
I'll help you make a start
And build it up again
I will shine the light within

When you need a friend to call
I'll be right there beside you
To shelter you and guide you
On this you can rely(this you can rely)
When the tear drops start to fall
I will be there to dry them
Before you can cry them
And on the darkest night
I will be the light
I will be the light
Do-do-do-do-do-do

Everbody's searching for somebody to believe in
Everybody needs someone to care
A shoulder you can cry on
A love you can rely on
Reach out and touch me if you can
Just take my hand

When you need a friend to call
I'll be right there beside you
To shelter you and guide you
On this you can rely(this you can rely)
When the tear drops start to fall
I will be there to dry them
Before you can cry them
And on the darkest night
I will be the light
I will be the light
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do

No rain(no rain)
No rain(no rain)
No storm is ever gonna stand in my way
No ones(no ones)
To blame(to blame)
Hold on I'll be there to carry the weight
No rain(no rain)
No rain(no rain)
No storm is standin my way
No ones(no ones)
To blame
Hold on
I"ll be there to carry the weight

Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiLzuBkjMTA&feature=related

Every year at Christmas
All I can see
Are pictures of the things I want
Around the tree
But this year's a little different
I'm not thinking of myself
So my prayer for this Christmas
Is for somebody else
So I pray...

Joy To the World
Peace for every boy and girl
Hope when life is hard
Light when everything seems dark

God I know you're listening
And you can hear
The need of every broken heart
And all their tears
I don't have a lot to offer
Just this one simple prayer
That this Christmas everyone would know
Somebody cares...
So I pray...

Joy To the World
Peace for every boy and girl
Hope when life is hard
Light when everything seems dark

I pray that every hungry soul
Will be filled and will be warm
That not a single, solitary child
Would suffer harm
And wars would find their ending
As we take another view
My hope is that this Christmas prayer
Would somehow come true

I pray...
Humanity would rise
And join with me
And together we'll sing

Joy To the World (To all the world)
Peace (Peace) for every boy and girl (for every boy and girl)
(Talking bout hope) Hope when life is hard (when life is hard)
Light when everything seems dark

I pray that (I pray) every hungry soul
Will be filled and will be warm
(Not a single child) That not a single, solitary child
Would suffer harm
And wars would find their ending
As we take another view
My hope is that this Christmas prayer
Would somehow come true...

Joy To the World
Peace for every boy and girl

Take a look at these lyrics! It touches my soul and heart. =') I hope that Nick and his Dad would write songs like that again...

Sunjar!!!!

I've been wanting this for months since I saw it in http://www.ixiqi.com/ and have literally gone crazy and won't stop looking for it until I get my hands on that cool stuff! It's so cool and I love things that can Glow in the Dark!!

To those who has been to my room, you can see a ceiling full of glow in the dark stars... Yea, I've been jumping up and down my bed just to get them on the ceiling...

So, about this Sunjar, it's a product from Suck UK. It cost RMB269 = RM134.50, which I saw from a China website. If it includes shipping fees and postage, it'll cost me more than RM200!

Therefore, I did some research on the web. Looking for a place that sells it cheaper. I found some US sites which is definitely cheaper, about $14.90 = RM44.70. But! Again! The shipping is the problem... It's about $220, the cheapest, without insurance and no guarantee that you will receive it, from the US to Malaysia.. =_=

Not giving up!!!

So, I went to Yahoo to seach for Sun Jar Malaysia. And yesh! I've found what I wanted to. But it's not exactly what I wanted to look for. The nearest country that sells this lovely Sun Jar is... Singapore... It cost $59 for just one colour (Blue OR Amber Red) and $69 for dual colours in one jar. Considered cheap la... Compared to those that I've found on the previous websites.
But, I'm not sure that my dad will allow me to buy this or buy this for me... =_= So, I might as well give up my hope.. Until it comes to Malaysia, I won't be able to have it... *sobs!!!*

Here are some pictures of my, soon to be, darling:

1. You can see the solar powered battery under the lid.
2. In the daytime, it absorbes SUN light for 5 hours and it can shine for hours.
3. In the dark! Gorgeous babies~~
4. Again! My darling to be....
Haha... Day Dreaming~ Unless some of you went to Singapore and saw it and buy it for me, I'll be glad to pay you... But unless you wanna give it to me as a gift, I insist... =P Just in case, I want the Sun Jar (Dual Colour).
Thanks!!! =)

Coffee, Tea, or me? =P

Don't get startled by the title! I just want to write about coffee and tea today... Hehe...

I wasn't really a coffee addict before, and also not one now. But I love the aroma of coffee rather than the taste of it. If you want me to drink Kopi O, or black, black, black and blacker coffee, I won't give you a face that would probably look like this... XP *bluek!*

Although I'm not really a coffee expert and have not taste all the coffee in the world, yet, the coffee I liked the most is Latte... Green tea latte, toffee nut latte, vanilla latte... Too bad, Toffee Nut Latte is only avaible in the month of Christmas... But to be specific, I like Frappicino! Know why? It's because... of the CREAMMM!!! It's like Ice-blended coffee. But if you give me a latte, a hot latte, I'll drink it all up nonetheless...

I'm not really a Starbuck's kaki, but I think I will be glad to work in Starbuck's as a past-time barista... Being able to be surrounded by the awakening aroma and maybe make my own cup of coffee!!!

I haven't been buying cups and cups of Starbuck's, but whenever the rich Joyce spends her money there, all I can do shake my head and think, "My, my! Budak ni memang anak orang kaya!!!" Normal and "not-so-rich" people don't go buying Starbucks once they pass Starbucks! Haha! But I sometimes, i can't resist it! Joyce said I'm addicted, but I can swear that I'm not! Well, at least, not yet... =P But, Starbucks! Sigh! We need lotsa $$$$ to be able to be enjoying that or be able to step into the store.

But! There's a really rare and golden promotion on a Thursday 2 weeks ago, which was on New Year's day when I, actually, went shopping... Actually, I was being dragged there. =_= Buy 1 promotional drink (of the season), which was a Christmas drink (Toffee Nut Latte, Dark Cherry Mocha Frappicino or something like that, and another one which I can't remember), FREE ONE!!! BUY ONE, FREE ONE! How queer! Haha... I wonder if the manager of Starbuck's just stroke a billion dollar lottery... =_= So, how can we miss this GOLDEN OPPURTUNITY?!

Therefore, another friend who I guess wasn't much of a coffee addict herself, bought one Venti (medium sized) Toffee Nut Frappicino and I got another one for FREE! Actually, we split the price. So it's quite reasonable and cheap for a Starbuck's coffee... 50% discount! How can I not resist?!

For tea... I love Passion Fruit Tea, Iced Lemon Tea, Iced Peach Tea and Green Tea... Chinese tea is considered okay for me. Another genius drink, which according to somewhere I read, were invented by us Chinese! =) Brilliant! It is said that an Emperor was drinking water/hot water one day when a leaf flew into his cup and ta-da! Tea!

I can say that I drink tea quite often. Not because I want to, but it's because of my Dad or Mum. Whenever we have breakfast, lunch or even breakfast outside, we are not allowed to order any other drinks and my dad will bring his jar of tea and make everyone of us tea. =_= It's somehow like a tradition. But if the tea jar is at home, then we'll at least or soy milk or 凉茶. Hehe... So I have been drinking tea ever since.

I've seen people drinking cold Chinese Tea. Weird?! Chinese tea's supposed to be drink HOT! How can you put ice in it? Wouldn't it be like... only drinking water? Like my crazy little brother who will put ice in his hot soup, complaining that it's too hot for him to drink.. =_= Gosh! Weirdos...

Tagged the Nth time...

Thanks to my childhood penpal, Vivienne, I have to spill out my werid habits and all the weirds stuff.. Man, this will take me some time. Here goes!

5 Weird Habits

1. I prefer to use blue pens rather the black ones. But still, pencils are the best! I'd prefer using black pens on Mathematics Examintion Papers. It makes me feel that I'm using my pencil and love to do maths with pencil because I usually don't do the whole thing right once. Then I'll have to "liquid" the whole answer and start over! Won't it be better using the eraser to do that?

2. I will feel tired once I think that I am and will feel that my eyes will go from alert state to sleeping state in 1 minute... Especially in classes... =P

Bah.. I really dunno what weird habits, normal facts and little known facts about me... =_= i have some habit that me myself don't realize... So you tell me! Will be glad to know it from you guys...

ps: I've got hands on Leehom's latest album! I'm lovin' it!!! <3

Obsession!

This is going to be very short post..

So it's basically about my obsessions for my past few days. And an obsession to me is searching everything I can on the youtube and wikipedia. What's great about youtube is that there's those links beside the video and the list is never-ending! I can go on watching for hours and hours...

Yesterday: Twilight, Robert Pattinson, Corpse Bride [Victor's Piano Solo and the Piano Duet] searching for the piano scores.

Today: Still... Twilight, Robert Pattinson, Harry Potter/Cedric Diggory rather, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the piano scores of River Flows into You, Kiss the rain and Love Me by a Korean composer, Yiruma...

Ok! That's for now, bye!

Busy weekends!

witThis whole Genting trip was really a last minute trip! It was decided almost in less than 24 hours. And I just came back from Ling Wee's house that evening...

On Saturday, I went Christmas Caroling when I don't need to. So I called up Qiao Fang and told her that I will be going. She asked me to call Cheng Syin and Joyce to come too. So when I called Cheng Syin, she said that she will be going to Genting with Joyce. I wanted to go since I was so bored. So I called up Joyce to... And the trip is ON!

Basically, this trip was to just attend a dinner which I don't have a clue was about before. J just informed us to bring some suitable dresses for dinner.

After Caroling, we sat J's parents car up to Genting. I actually lied to teacher that I have to go back to Klang to perform that night (which I actually really have to, but cancelled) to be able to go to Genting and not going to practice with Chung Hwa... =P But she actually called my cell the next day! I was in line to go on the roller coaster when she called. All 3 of us freaked out... =_= And ignored her call... Shhhh!!!

She called like, 3 times... Gosh!

After the dinner the night before, we changed into our casual wear and went out to breath some fresh, mountain air... Cool~ J and me even bought Starbucks! She was crazy enough to order the a Venti Frappacinno, which was the largest cup which cost me RM17! I ordered the Dark Cherry something, a Christmas drink, and it wasn't so good... So I traded with J, who ordered the Toffee Nut something something.

We were 3 girls who went crazy, drinking a cup of iced coffee and standing in the cold, night air...

The next morning, we were planning to buy the outdoor ticket (which I was quite reluctant, because I didn't have that much money), and I was lucky enough to escape cuz the counter said that it's too misty and all rides are closed... So we bought the indoor ride.

J and I went to try the Laser Mirror Maze where it's similar to those villains who wants to steal precious antiques or jewellary and need to pass through a maze of lazer beams. If we touches the lazer beam, the alarm will go off... Hehe, quite thrilling, but the game is too short.

Bah... Too lazy to tell the rest and I'm sure that you don't want to read anymore of it.

So, I've watched Twilight, downloaded it. It was not bad, all about romance and vampires. Frankly speaking, Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen and Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the GOF, wasn't that good looking in that movie. I liked him more in HP4 and thought that it was really a pity for him to only come out in one movie of HP.

I've just borrowed to book from YYV and have start reading a few of the pages.

The amazing and wonderful thing of reading is that I can imagine the settings and characters in my mind while I read. So after watching the movie, I can actually think of Edward and Bella like in the movie. Edward's messy, blonde hair ( in the book, auburn hair), gorgeous eyes which changes colour (Coal black to Golden Brown), his muscular body and his pale, icy-cold appearance. Bella's long, black hair, slender body, and those misty eyes...

Many said that the book is better than the movie, a lot better... I'm looking forward to the next movie and hope to read the book, New Moon. According to websites, it already started filming and I hope that it would be better than Twilight. =)

Taz!

ps: Gosh! December December, the fastest month in a year... It will be January in a blink of an eye! Help! Form 4-ers, get ready to stand into the battlefield...! CHARGE!!!!

Desperate to FLY!

I'm ready to FLY~!

T.T Everyone around me seems to be going off to enjoy the last few weeks of the holidays!

Mum and Dad are going to Shanghai without me... *Sobs!* I wanna go to Shanghai! Especially after watching 命中 which has some scenes in Shanghai... Hehe! I know some will call me dumb, but I will go anywhere in the world! At least take 1 step in every country on the the face of the Earth...

The 3 musketeers are going to Nippon, leaving me behind... Pitiful me~ Hey, you 3! I expect 3 prezzies from 3 of you, huh? =P and I'll be waiting for Wee's postcard.. Ehehe! Now, I can have 3 postcards from 3 different countries! From Germany, Norway and Japan! Actually, I can get another 1 from the USA, but it was sent in August yet it haven't reach my place! Chris, did you get the address right?! Lol... Maybe it got lost in the letters... Sigh!

By the way, the postcards from Germany and Norway are both from Christian. Thanks! =)

Do you get the exhilarating feeling and the urge to quickly rip off the envelope when you see it has your name on it? It's not everyday that I can get a letter from snail-mail... I'm quite fed up with E-mail's actually. Never get exited to check my inbox... Plus, receiving REAL letters really makes my day... =)

I'm lately listening a lot of Jordin Sparks'. No Air, Tattoo and I love One Step At A Time! The sound of the high heels walking at the intro... Gosh! Sounds sexy! =P *Pardon me if I sound.. Err.. Not myself and I know that I don't usually use words like that... *

In a nutshell, I just wanna FLY! Don't know when can I feel on top of the world on the plane... The last time I saw clouds up close was when I was on my way to Bali.. When will the next time be? Wish that it will be pretty soon!

And, sad to say that I will most probably lose another chance to fly! This time, it's to Korea. Not because of choir, but it's because of the dumb SPM that I will have to take next year. And this time, it's because of choir that we will FLY there. Knowing that I couldn't go, teacher still ordered me to look up on the information about the competition that will be held there... How could she?! Haha... Bah.. Since I'm the one who's usually translating for the choir, I have no choice.. If only Joyce is good in both English and Chinese! *sigh!*

Bah... Now, pitiful me can only enjoy the last few weeks of the last year end holidays that I can really relax since we ex-Form 4-ers will be having our SPM next year! *gasps!*

ps: AirAsia is finally flying to LONDON! Yay! It looks cheaper than MAS flights... When will I set foot on the land of the Olden English?? I'll never know... But Tian Yu promised to sponsor me~! Haha... Although he said that he'll only sponsor my 1 way flight... =_=

*drifts off, heads down, dreaming of FLYING...*

Nostalgic

First, I would like to say that after posting up videos of Leehom, my blog looks a little... Errm... Untidy... ^^' So I decided to take it down... Some might be sooo relieved, saying "Ahh! Finally! She learns!" Lol... But, no! Leehom will be back... Very soon!!! Muahaha!

Why am I nostalgic? I just realized that because I have been doing stuff lately that I have not done in a long time and misses the days...

As it is so obvious, that I've already cut my hair short.. And that picture in my last post made me look.... Round, plump, mushroom-like.. What else? Oh yea... I almost forgot... Fat! T.T

Back to the nostalgic part.

For some who doesn't know, I just kept my hair long when I started Form 1. I've been waiting for that day for ages! We are not supposed to have long hair in our primary school, unless you have a letter stating that you learn ballet. I envied those girls with long hair so much because they can have cute hair clips and show off in school... They look prettier and more lady like too... Haha! I was so desperate to have long hair that I sometimes even think of asking my mum to fake a letter so that I could keep my hair long. But, my mum firmly said no... She said that I could only keep my hair when I got into Form 1... I kept imagining myself having long, shiny, jet black hair! Ahh... How much I longed for that very day to come!

So Form 1 finally came and I was over joyed! I kept my hair long and didn't really care about it anymore... Since in Form 1, almost every girls will be keeping their hair long. I wasn't the one standing out and it wasn't something to be proud of...

Until now, when Rihanna started to make Bobs the latest hair style, everyone seems to be cutting their hair short... So, I have the urge to cut it short again since then... Not because it's the latest fashion. It's just because it have been quite a while since I see myself in the mirror with my hair short and I wonder how I will look in that... But I was uncertain with my decision, afraid that I would look weird after that haircut...

Until one day when I came across a magazine which says that even those with round faces, like me, can cut my hair short. Just keep my hair's length below my chin. So I finally gathered enough courage to go for a haircut. And.... ta-da! My new look! But most commented that I look like a mushroom... I don't know if that's a compliment, but thanks... =_=

I think that that picture made me look fat because the hair stylist blew my hair inwards and made me look puffy.. But it looks ok now...

Another nostalgic thing is that I suddenly talked about my primary school teachers with my mum. And since she was a teacher there and knew most of the teachers there, she always talks a lot when it comes to the things that she know and I doens't. For example, she went to Shangri-la and Yun Nan with my cousins and 'abandoned' us at home. When she came back, she told us almst everything about the trip. Hmph! Jealous! And when she looks at pictures showing Yun Nan or Shangri-la, she would start blabbering about her trip again... @_@

So about primary school, I found my class picture taken 4 years ago when we were in primary 6M. Everyone looked so different! O.o Especially those boys... They looked so cute back then! Lol... All short and cute looking! Haha!

I wanted to scan it but I didn't know how to use the scanner at home... Until I figure out a way to use it, you maybe wouldn't be able to see the picture. Maybe LLW can help to upload it for me...

*Before I start, for those who don't really wanna read this can skip this post.. Hehe! I'm just blogging out of the blue... =P *

I've just stop by HOManiacs' forum and realized how much I've missed Leehom!!! T.T

Leehom's so unfair! *Sorry!* But he went to Singapore for a concert and not back here in Malaysia, Truely Asia! He seriously said that when he was thanking his LOYAL fans from Malaysia~ And, I'm also proud to be a HOManiac because we have our own special name! For example, for the China fanclub, they have OurHome China, for Indonesia, OurHome Indonesia, OurHome Singapore and .... But! We are the HOManiacs!! Yay! And we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary! 10 years of continuous support for Leehom! =)

Leehom! Please! If you are reading this, come stop by Malaysia to have a concert!! Lol.. As if he will really read my post! Maybe in my wildest dreams! And I DO hope my wildest dreams will somehow come true!

I'll be posting some of Leehom's videos here if you all don't mind... Haha! And if you DO mind, I don't really care!!! =P I'll just stick it here and take it down whenever I want to...

Before I leave, I would like to congratulate Leehom for making it a wonderful night for all who attended Music Man, Leehom's concert in Singapore! Yay! And Leehom, bring on your passion of music to Malaysia lah! We will surely welcome you! Selamat Datang! Haha! And, I would like to congratulate Leehom for being able to conduct the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for 3 shows! December 22 to 24! According to wangleehom.com, accepting a baton especially made for him will be his early Christmas present!

Awww! Come and conduct for MPO or KL Pac then! =P Even your teacher has conducted for us before!! Go ask for his opinion!! Muahahahaha!

*continues to day dream about Leehom and bugging Dolly to watch his videos sent to her... =P *

Having too much to say

Even by owning a blog, I still have lots to say that I can't really spill it all out here. Many thoughts come to me in only a short time of 24 hours and didn't really have the space in my mind to remember all that. So here was what I thought of and do today:

1. I want to just drop of everything and go to a beach where there are sandy beaches, clear blue skies, deep blue oceans and a not-too-shabby chalet, just on the shore. Far enough so that I can still hear the waves hitting the shores, composing a calming and relaxing lullaby to bring me to my slumber.

I've recently read and watched a book and a drama all about the sea. First, is the book that I just bought. It's called 小天堂 Little Paradise by 邓秀茵. I have to admit that, even though it's not really a good book, but I imaginations soared when I read this book. It's about a 12 year old girl, anxious to grow up, having a long holiday and working at her uncle's small beach motel. A human mind will think about the place and what's happening in the story as it is really happening and use our imagination to think about it. Having the setting of the story at the beach, I've thought about my perfect beach for that one day which I used to finish the whole story.

And, I've been on another drama since I finished 命中注定我爱你. It's called Wayward Kenting 我在垦丁*天气晴. You remember how I loved Youtube? I found the whole drama (I think) on Youtube and it made me loved Youtube more! The main actor of the drama is Eddie Peng 彭于晏, Ethan Ruan 阮经天 from 命中 and other 2 actress that I've seen before but still don't get their names, yet. Kenting is in Southern Taiwan and a surfer's paradise and the whole drama (I think) takes place there. That makes me even more longing to spend my next 2 months of long vacation there! If you ask me to choose from the beach or the highlands, I would rather choose the beach... =)

2. After finishing the movie, Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, I liked that movie as it teaches us to believe in the unbelievable and make the impossibles possible.

But unfortunately, it didn't receive great reviews about the whole movie. The critics said that it is not a good movie for the kids because it teaches the kids about death. I mean, yeah, I agree that death is still a long way for kids but anything's possible! It's not that children in today's world won't face death. They do! In fact, I think this movie teaches the children to face the death of their beloved in a more positive way.

I really liked the place where Molly said, "Great! Well done! Now, we wait." But Mr Magorium said, "No. We breath, we pulse, we regenerate. Our heart's beat, our mind's .... ( I didn't quite catch what he was saying here) 37 seconds well used, is a lifetime." It really make sense! He said many things that captured my heart, but I didn't really remembered it all. But this is the line that I loved the most!

3. Letting go, is never an easy task. Even though it's something unpleasant, we will still miss it in some time later in our life. But eventually, we still have to make our choices. To let go, or not to let go. It's up to us. The choice will always rest in our hands.

4. The phrase that says, You'll never miss the water until it's gone, from Westlife's When You're Looking Like That, is so true. People never seem to appreciate the little things in life until they've realized that it's gone.

For example, We never seem to take notice about that little thing that we see lying around us when we don't need it. But we can never seem to find it, even if we turn over the whole house or room, when we need it so badly.
